2nd September, 2006

Setting off to White Mountain today, with Nicholas (TAP trainee) and his colleague, Craig and family. Took off from Lonza at abt 930 and we headed straight to White Mountain in 3 cars, all driven by Craig and his children. We took the Kancamagus Highway to avoid the crowd as almost EVERYONE is heading to the mountain range for this long wkend.

First stop for the day was at Swift River... People were fishing and in order to have a feel of the cold water, Nicholas ang Vega joined Craig to have a dip in the water. They took off their shoes and started threading into the water. All was well until Vega lost her footing, slipped and fell into the water...

The rest of us were busy snapping photos away, trying to capture the best of nature... Please see below for supposedly-beautiful shots...

The "lower" falls

Restrooms in the area are worth mentioning. The toilets have no sewage system. The toilet bowl leads to just a big HOLE and you could see what's 'underground'... Eeeee.... gross. But it's supposed to be environmental-friendly. But... There should at least be a wash basin for washing hands mah... hmm...

Then it's time for a little trailwalk... Supposed to be about a mile or so.. Ok, time for my heart to work a bit also. But... haizzz....

Sabbaday Falls. After a SHORT walk, honestly speaking. Hmm. think the Mackenzie Fall in the Grampians is more magnificent... :p

Left the falls and drove down the forest area to have lunch. As usual, we brought our own sandwiches and stuff.

Will be going to White Mountain again... during the Fall. This is when White Mountain is at its BEST!!
