Morning call at 7am and after a simple breakfast in the room, we set off for Chinatown of Toronto at 8am... The journey to Toronto took about 1.5hrs and we were brought to a restaurant for dim sum - from our own pockets, that is...
After the whole group gathered, we were then led to the Harbourfront for a cruise on Lake Ontario...
Our guide - the one with the Doraemon umbrella
There are condominiums at the Harbourfront and we reckoned they must be VERY expensive as they overlook the beautiful view of Lake Ontario...
The above vessel was the one that we boarded to cruise Lake Ontario. The guide onboard was really professional as she gave a very good description and history of Lake Ontario... It was really a pretty nice weather to be out in the lake (not sea though :p)...
After the criuse, we went back to Chinatown where we were given 1.5hrs of free time to roam by ourselves. Went to a confectionery to buy some buns, some curry fishball and got ourselves a cup of bubble tea each :p While we were getting the bubble tea, there was this guy who requested to paste a poster on the wall of that shop. They were trying to advertise for 五月天's concert that is to be held on 25Aug!!! There was nothing much in this Chinatown but on the whole, it is better than the one in Boston as there were really more Chinese shops and stalls.
After the F&E time in Chinatown, we then set off to our next destination - City Hall of Toronto. It is also known as the "Skyeye" (when seen from the top) due to its unique architectural and building arrangement.
Next and the last stop for the day - Pacific Mall at Scarborough. It was about another hour's ride............. -_- When we were about to reach, the tour guide told us that this place is populated by Hongkies mainly. On looking out of the coach window, it was true! All the people that we can see were Asians!!! Finally reached Pacific Mall, and it was REALLY BIG.. Contacted my aunt whom I have not met for more than 10 years (who has been waiting for me here since 1pm) and I finally get to see her, and her family!!! Left the gals with the group and followed my aunt and her family to dinner, after which she brought me to their local chinese supermarket. I was really impressed!!!
Yummy dinner @ Keong's Delights
