Day 2 at Yellowstone

2nd September, 2007

We were greeted by the cool, chilly air in the early morning today after some cup noodle and tuna sandwich breakfast :p Walked to the visitor center at about 8am to join the ranger program for the day - A guided geyser tour at 830am.. Through out the 1.5hr walk, we witnessed for ourselves, the incredibility of mother nature......

Bacterial Mat...

This anemone geyser is so 'cute'.. Look at the way it 'slurps' the water after the eruption... Keke... Is there a burp at the end as well?

Saw a path to the Mystic Falls....

We then continued our road journey and arrived at the Grand Prigmatic Spring. Sad to say, there's no way we can capture the beauty of it as it is really too big... Only an aerial view will do the work....

The hot steam really fogged up my specs and it was really HOT to walk past the Spring as well as this crater...

After we left this place, we came to this Fountain Paintpot that I really fancy...:p

Then we went to the Firehole drive - where you can see people swimming.........

Lodging for the second night in Yellowstone - the Canyon Lodge ...

By the second day, most (if not all) of us already had our nose bleeding - due to the high altitude and the dryness of the climate.
