Well... It has been weeks since my last update :p

Just a note on how I am doing here... Seen another Chinese MD last Sat n am now trying out his medication. It is in powder form n hence i need not brew them :p His diagnosis of my illness, is that it is mostly caused by emotions. Anxiety mainly. During this period of time that I am on medication, I am to abstain from SWEET stuff!!! Oh my, that is a TORTURE ok!!! So many things cannot eat...Haizz... So, I've STOPPED baking for the time being le!! Cos i can't eat :p

It's Good Friday next week and most of my friends are heading to Washington for a short vacation. I am staying put here cos I am not interested in museums and monuments (which is mainly what you can find in Washington) Okay, I am NOT refined and NOT cultured.. Can?!?! :p So, missing my footsteps on another city, beside Montreal that I missed out on last year..

But guys, look here................

Well, I guessed you guys can start making appointments with me already.. Hahaha...... Oh ya, any of you who sees this, please keep this from my parents. I wanna surprise them!!! :p

Snow storm (yes..... again.... even though it's going to be Spring... ) last Friday afternoon when I was knocking off. And it lasted till Saturday morning. Heavy precipitation n road conditions were so bad that my housemate had to stay in the hotel for the night as she couldn't come home. Lazy Saturday it was where my "Sharon Au-look-alike" housemate decided to give nasi lemak a shot, with the pandan leaves and coconut milk we've got :p And this was our (i cooked the luncheon meat and the peanuts/ikan bilis were courtesy from her grandma!!) first attempt:

Decided to go jalan jalan as the weather changed for the better but there was a LOT to be done, before we could get our car going...

Had a hard time getting out of my lot cos of the thick snow...

And on Sunday, my housemate (yah.. that "Sharon Au-look-alike again) cut my hair for me.. And this was the amount cut after an hour :p

I think besides the fringe, now i look a bit like her... Wahahaha..........

And to sum up the wkend, i baked this tiramisu cheesecake which was not quite a successful one... :/

Got a recipe from KY recently to make 烧肉... Hence, when I was in Boston last Sat, I especially bought a piece of 三层肉 (aka 五花肉) for this purpose. Tried out the recipe yesterday and after an overnight-marination, it looked like this before it was roasted in the oven...

After some time of baking and grilling.. the end product looked like this

Hmm... in case you guys cannot see clearly.....

Tthis is my first attempt on 烧肉 leh!!! Not bad-looking right?!?!

Very delicious ok!!! Yum Yum... Now I can cook 叉烧 and 烧肉 oredi...

Hmm... What's next so that I can start up a 三多烧腊 stall in Lonza? :p

3 TAP frenz accompanied me to Boston to see the chinese sinseh early this morning. We set off at 920am n reached Chinatown at abt 1030am, to have some "HK-style" breakfast. Look wat we have here...

餐A: 瘦肉粥, 炒面, 奶茶
餐B: 双蛋肠仔, 鲜油餐包, 奶茶
餐C: 餐肉通粉, 鲜油餐包, 奶茶

Oh..... I MISSED HONG KONG!!!!!!!!!! Dun care! I wanna go back again in 08 :p

Went to see the sinseh then, said the same old thing: 心血少, 身体虚, 心不够力... Haizzzz.... Walked to Quincy Market after that, and then Haymarket where they have stalls selling fresh vegetables and fruits. They were dirt cheap!!! 2 punettes of strawberries for only $1.50 (later slashed to $1), grapefruits 7 for $1, 2 stalks of broccoli for $1 etc... The crowd was u-can-imagine...

We then made our way to Mike's Pastry again (Haizz.. and i was reminded of the happy times that i had with my panda months back... :/) This time round, I had a nut rum upsidedown to go with a cuppa cappuccino.. Wat a great way to spend time with a few frenz in the cafe, over delicious pastries. But we couldnt finish what we ordered, as we found them sorta too sweet. Hahaha....

Oh, saw the dafodil? It was given to us by the Massachusetts horticultural society in promotion of their upcoming Spring Flower Show next week :)

We then made our way back to Chinatown to buy some grocery before heading for our dinner at a Chinese restaurant. And guessed what? We chanced upon 2 TAP trainees who were SECRETLY dating!!! Hahaha... Oopsss....... So, they are the second pair of couple in our TAP community le... :p

During the dinner, there was this issue abt '肉体上的需要' and 'more lust than love', as compared to real love (BUT, we were not referring to them ok!!!) Wahaha... Wanted to try the set meal for 4, but then we could not have 烧腊then, so in the end, this was what we had for dinner...

Dun care! Next time I wanna try the set meal for 4, cos it has all my favourite dishes!!! 玉米鱼瓢羹, 京都排骨, 椒盐鲜尤, 炒蚬, 琵琶豆腐... Hur....

Oh, and this is how my medicine look..................... I have to drink twice a day, consecutively for 5 days before going back for review next week!!!

It's Friday and a stormy one as well. After the morning snow, it turned to freezing rain... Roads were wet and slippery the whole day. Nonetheless, KY and me went for dinner together and after driving one round, we decided to eat at this Smoky Bones BBQ and Grill. And only when we reached there, then we realised the Uno Chicago Grill next to it, has closed down!!! Luckily i brought my panda there the last time he was here :p

Upon entering the restaurant, one would see many tvs 'hanging' around, all of different channels.

And when the waiter ushered us to our seat, we found this on the table....

See all the different "tv" on the box? Juz pick the one with the channel you are interested in, and you can "listen" to the tv show at your table, while watching it on the tv!!! Interesting right?!?!! Hahahha..... After we have made our order, we chatted while waiting for our food to arrive... And these were what we had :p

New additions to my apartment... ...

The couch and lazyboy were kindly given to us by my housemate's colleague.

Hahaha... got this furniture only after we have been here for more than half a year :p Well, at the very least now that when people come to our house, we can say "Have a seat!" instead of "please feel free to STAND around" Wahahaha............

To be more specific, the humidifier above was a new addition in my room. Didn't wanna get this gadget as I thought winter is coming to an end. But, i have been having sleepless nights due to the dry air, leading to stuffy nose (of bloodclots). With this, i can now sleep better at night, with as I can breathe better... :)

And as I was checking the weather for the week, guess what!?!?!
OH NO... Not again...................
