It's Thanksgiving again, how time flies.
Could still remember the chicken I baked for our little celebration for last year's Thanksgiving. But now, everyone's away to Florida for the long weekend. Except for me, who has to work again on this major public holiday.
Nonetheless, Nittaya invited me to her house for a Thanksgiving dinner today and I went over right after work. Cosy little house in Newmarket and I could feel the warmth the moment I stepped into the house. There were so many people, all her relatives, her husband and her father-in-law from Taiwan. An ATYPICAL Thanksgiving dinner, rather different from the one I attended last year.
Look at the HUMONGOUS drumstick!
Besides the above, I had the Taiwanese pineapple tarts and apple pie+ice-cream as desserts. It was entertainment time then as they showed the video clip of Nittaya's wedding ceremony that took place last Saturday. It was a Laotian traditional ceremony with monks' blessings and the participation of many friends and relatives. Coming up next was a singing session, not with karaoke cds/dvds, but live using keyboard!
