It's the annual Lonza Holiday Gala Party again.

And at the same time, 去年的今天, my panda arrived in Portsmouth after I have been here for half a year... :) It has been A YEAR!

Same venue as last year but turnour was larger than last year they said. Nonetheless, we got ourselves a room to stay over for the night.

5th December, 2007

It's our annual group Holiday party and due to a technical fault, we couldn't go to the ice-skating rink for some exercise. Changed our plan to bowling then, but the normal 10-pin bowling alley in Dover has a league for the night, and hence we changed to CANDLEPIN bowling - in Portsmouth http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candlepin_bowling

It's palm-sized and there is NO HOLES for you to put your fingers into it!!! Then came another surprise for me...

Faintzzz... We have to enter the score MANUALLY ourselves after the 3 throws AND after that, we have to reset the pins by pressing a button next to where the balls returned! Really an "EYE OPENER!!!" Wahahaha...

After an evening of fun, it was time for dinner at Magaritas and that, rounded up our group outing for this year... I really had a lot of fun today - thanks to my fellow colleagues.

I would miss them when I leave here... *sob sob*

Woke up in the morning when I heard some whisperings - "It's snowing!"
For the FIRST TIME - it snowed in NYC when I was there!!!

Big Apple Hostel...

It was time for breakfast and walked right into this breakfast place called "Dunhill Cafe". Again, I knew wat kind of 'home fries' I would be served on my platter the moment I saw the staff in the cafe -_-

Walked back to Times Square after breakfast and it started snowing again, getting heavy at times!

1st December, 2007

Went down to NYC for the 'last time' before I leave the States. Was there to catch a Cirque Du Soleil performance - Wintuk, that was put up at Madison Square Garden. Took an overnight coach to NYC and we arrived when it was only 6am! Dropped our bags at the hostel that we have booked and made our way to Chinatown for our breakfast - HK-style breakfast :p

Took the subway back to Penn Station and shopped around the area before it was time for the performance. First stop - Victoria Secret...

Then it was Macy's...

After a short round of window-shopping, it was time to make our way to Madison Square Garden...


No photography or videography was allowed during the performance but I took a couple of shots during the finale.. :p





On the whole, the show was kinda kiddish. But I was kinda entertained by the lightings and the props. Went for lunch after the show and oh, did I mention about the weather for the day? It was FREEZING!!! Went to Century 21 to see how great the shopping mall was but it was a disappointing trip and we went back to Times Square once more for the chilly night. I have never been into Toys' Rus before and my short visit brought me these surprises!

I bought one of them in the end.. Guess which one is it? Keke..............
